Core curriculum
- Fundamentals & tooling — UAV technology, common airframes in service, tools and safety gear, why preventive maintenance matters, inspection and service-record logging.
- Components & diagnostics — Power distribution and battery care; testing and replacing ESCs, motors and propellers; flight controller health checks; diagnostic software and ground control station integration.
- Repair & replacement — Propeller balancing, motor realignment, cable replacement and soldering, frame damage repair, and compass/IMU/GPS calibration — with a full teardown and rebuild.
- Firmware & sensors — Firmware updates and factory restores, sensor alignment and configuration, telemetry and live-feed troubleshooting, and log analysis.
- Field service — In-field servicing protocol, crash handling, spares management and checklists, and a simulated emergency response.
- Compliance & capstone — DGCA compliance for technicians, maintenance logs and audit preparation, service centre essentials, then diagnose, service and fly-test a real aircraft.
